John built a bedroom for my grandson and installed new doors on my granddaughter’s bedrooms. He did an outstanding job. He was so considerate of my daughters work schedule. He arrived as she was leaving for work and was gone before she came home. He cleaned up everything each day. It was like he wasn’t there but she saw the build happening before her eyes. He asked if we wanted bedroom doors for the granddaughters with chalkboard paint on one side. I never would have thought of that. They absolutely love it. He got all the permits for us. The final product was a beautifully built and painted bedroom for my grandson and excited granddaughters with their new doors. 

I highly recommend John. He is very customer and detail oriented and does a professional job. Drawing up and showing us the architectural diagrams helped us see and discuss/approve the build. I will be scheduling more work with him in the near future.

They did some flooring work in our bathroom. Had a leak and floor flooded and completely needed to be replaced. The job was done well and timely. The bathroom looks great! Meeting with them to set up some other work in the near future.

“We first contacted GS Services to quote the repair and/or replacement of a wooden, covered front porch on our 135-year-old property.  The porch was in such bad repair that our family opted to avoid this outdoor living space all together.  It was sinking well below grade, the railings were falling apart, and the concrete stairs had seen better days.  John responded to all communications quickly, accommodated our strange work schedules when making appointments, and was incredibly transparent through the entire process.  John took our ideas, added his industry knowledge, and produced a set of plans we could get excited about.  We replaced our aging, wooden porch with TimberTech Advanced PVC Composite -- no more sanding, staining/painting, or splinters! John removed our narrow concrete steps and installed a new, wide staircase that had both practical and aesthetic appeal.  The entire project was then wrapped in Westbury aluminum railings (don't forget the drink rail!).  The porch used to be an eyesore on our otherwise beautiful home... Now it's the highlight! It has become our favorite place to spend time watching the world pass by.  Thanks to John's craftsmanship, this project will last our family for decades.

 When planning this project, we had contacted several contractors to pull quotes.  Some didn't show up on time, some didn't show up at all, and others provided quotes but were impossible to contact afterwards without filtering through a call center.  When contacting GS Services, John showed up on time, reference materials in hand, and was ready to answer all of our questions -- and we had plenty!  Follow up communications, before and after we signed the contract, were stellar.  Whether it was getting permits approved, materials delivered, city inspections passed, or completion deadlines, he was always keeping us informed.  John clearly takes pride in the quality of his work and will treat every project with as much respect as he would at his own home.  After this job was completed and paid for, he stopped by the check on things.  He noticed an incredibly small imperfection in a screw plug on one of the steps.  A few days pass and John calls, asking for permission to come back and fix this "issue."  If your contractor doesn't care THAT MUCH about his reputation, don't hire them.  John is one of the FEW people I will ever trust to work on my home.  We've gladly had John back for a few smaller jobs since the porch rebuild and we will certainly do so in the future as well.”
